RIM Playbook will make its debut in US and Canada on April 19th 2011. Price will start at 499USD (16GB), matching up their rival – the iPad. It will come in 3 size/price; 499USD for 16GB, 599USD for 32GB and 699USD for 64GB. Each will come with WIFI only, you will need to tether to a Blackberry phone if you want/need 3G connection. The size of the LCD is as the same as the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which is 7″. It is equipped with a 1 GHz Dual Core processor, 1GB RAM, 3mp front face camera and 5MP rear camera. OS on the other hand, is created by QNX, a new company which RIM newly acquired.

The PlayBook will be capable of 1080p HD video, and comes equipped with an HDMI port as well as a microUSB jack, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.1. The device clocks in at a svelte 5.1- by 7.6-inches, is only 0.4-inches thick, and weighs just 400g (or about 0.9 pounds).
